Information Foxat Collects

Foxat may collect and store account information from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, Foxat account and session records, content you save to Foxat, local app preferences, and technical information needed to run the service.

Foxat does not require phone-number login in the current release.

Google Sign-In

When you use Google Sign-In, Foxat receives a Google identity token from the app and sends it to the Foxat backend for verification. Foxat uses the verified Google account identifier to create or find your Foxat account.

Foxat uses Google Sign-In for authentication only. Foxat does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or other Google account content.

Sign in with Apple

When you use Sign in with Apple, Foxat receives an Apple identity token and authorization information from the app and sends it to the Foxat backend for verification. Foxat uses the verified Apple user identifier to create or find your Foxat account.

Apple may provide your name and email address only the first time you authorize Foxat. If you choose Apple's private relay email feature, Foxat will receive the relay address rather than your personal email address.

User Content

Foxat stores the content you choose to save. This may include URLs, extracted page text, page metadata, manually entered text, and future supported shared content types.

You are responsible for the content you save to Foxat and for making sure you have the right to save and use that content.

AI Processing

Foxat uses AI services to summarize, classify, analyze, and answer questions about saved content. To provide these features, Foxat may send saved content, extracted text, titles, URLs, metadata, and your AI prompts to an AI provider.

AI-generated summaries, classifications, and answers may be incomplete or incorrect. You should review important information before relying on it.

Foxat does not use saved content to train Foxat-owned AI models. Third-party AI provider processing is governed by the provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.

How Foxat Uses Information

Foxat uses information to manage accounts, authenticate Google and Apple sign-ins, save and sync content, provide AI features, import local guest content when requested, maintain reliability and security, and respond to support requests.

Sharing of Information

Foxat may share information with service providers needed to operate the app, including authentication providers, hosting and database providers, and AI providers used for content analysis and AI chat.

Foxat does not sell personal information.

Data Storage and Security

Foxat stores production account and content data in its backend database. The mobile app stores authentication tokens and local app data on your device using platform storage mechanisms.

Foxat uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Guest Mode

Foxat may allow limited use without signing in. Guest content may be stored locally on your device and, depending on the feature used, may also be sent to the backend for analysis. If you later sign in, Foxat may ask whether you want to import local guest content into your account.

Data Deletion

You can delete your Foxat account from the app when signed in. Account deletion is designed to soft-delete cloud articles owned by the account, revoke active Foxat sessions, mark the Foxat user account deleted, and clear local authentication state and cached article data from the device.

If you need help deleting data, contact foxatso99@gmail.com.

Some records may remain for a limited time where needed for security, backups, legal compliance, service integrity, or dispute resolution.

Children's Privacy

Foxat is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Foxat, contact foxatso99@gmail.com so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

International Use

Foxat may process information in countries or regions where its service providers operate. By using Foxat, you understand that information may be processed outside your country or region.

Changes to This Policy

Foxat may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or service providers change. The "Last updated" date will be revised when this policy changes.
